Does chief worry when Brutus works?

Does Rancid mean that Brutus is a bad employee?

You get what you pay for boss.

I once had a calendar with Jonathan Winters (R.I.P) talking on the telephone saying: “So you want it good, fast, and cheap? Well pick two and call me back.”

A botch a day keeps the raise away.

I think Rancid means Monday instead of tomorrow.

Can’t you just “feel” the love and confidence oozing from Mr V. That Yellow Vest hurts my eyes. Intimidating.

Brutus will get RIGHT ON that report. Yet there is no sign on his desk of a computer, old fashioned typewriter, an in and out box, or even a pen and pencil set, on his empty desk!

Our hero isn’t a bad employee, just a bit hapless and occasionally helpless. He does the best he can.

To botch or not to botch. That is the question.

I’ve been thinking about joining the Procrastination Club but I can’t seem to get there on time!

And yet Rancid keeps giving Brutus what we assume is important (ish?) work? Can only be for the schadenfreude he gets when, alas, Brutus does indeed botch another assignment. Brutus’s perpetual sunny responses to the Boss always amuse me. Hope springs eternal, I guess…

I guess the boss’s philosophy is expect the worse, hope for passable.

Something like that Chief. I’ll get it right sooner than later….
