I bought a used 2015 Nissan Leaf EV in 2017 for $9,750. Nobody wanted them then. It was so cheap to charge and so much fun to drive. Range was not so hot but it met99% of our needs. In 2022 I sold it back to the dealer for $9,000 cash because everybody wanted an EV. Gas was expensive. I bought a Tesla. After the initial excitement it just runs, gets a software update, just runs, gets another software update, just runs, (repeat). I usually keep a car four to six years. Maybe hydrogen powered next…..although I do miss that little Leaf. Maybe I’ll stop by the Nissan dealership……
Don’t do it Brutus. Set Garage on fire – house burns down.. Expensive batteries. Limited driving distance. Extremely heavy rear end. 4 or 5 friends with them and not one happy. But there’s coming a day when might be all electric. But far far away.

Those cars ain’t cheap. And I don’t see any big (or small) bonuses on the horizon.

Never did learn how to drive our Hybrid before I surrendered my license due to advanced aging.
