Love the Elizabethian collar on the lion, who gets his courage from a bottle, I see.

    I think that’s a “no scratch” collar

Elizabethan collar is the proper name for a “no-scratch” collar – because it looks like the neckwear worn in Elizabeth I’s time :-)

I see he gets his courage from a bottle, but I was wondering if he’s been neutered in the past and the Wizard gave him a transplant?!

I think this cartoon missed the mark because of the drawing. I think it’s real funny that the lion’s courage is in the bottle, however, I didn’t even see this until I read one of the comments below. The “courage” is almost out of the drawing. My attention was totally directed to the no scratch collar or blind, covering the lion’s face. So, I thought the joke was that the lion was now corageous due to the fact he couldn’t see anything. I think it would have been perfect if the drawing was all about the lion getting the bottle of courage and totally left the scratch collar off the lion. I’m betting I’m not the only person that thinks one is way overworked. It’s too bad because it would have been perfect, like I said, with just the courage in the bottle idea.

Yeah, he dose not need the “no scratch” collar. Besides, how could he drink with that thing on?
