Some friends we’re stationed in Honduras, they said I had never even tasted a banana. Imported bananas are always green, they are treated with a gas to turn them yellow, they are still “green” when they look yellow, not ripe until they start to turn “spotty” black.
Not rotting unless you like it very very brown and sweet like molasses. I prefer my bananas still with some green, the meat has a slight tart taste then.
