It’s a plot by the sponsor. Northlands Coliseum has been renamed Rexall Place. Since Rexall is a major drug store chain, they’re probably doing it to sell more aspirins.
We did have Rexall Drugs and drug stores with soda counters and Count Michebella(sp)perfume. Alot of neat things. Dallas had drug stores/soda counters until the almost the 70’s…still miss the drug store on the corner of Inwood and Lovers. great days.
They just opened a brand new Rexall this year up here.
There’s been a rumor going around that the Edmonton coach is only planning to dress 7 of the same players next season. Seems the rest can dress themselves now…
Some say football is the toughest sport… Then why is it out of the total time the game is played they really only play for about 20 minutes… The rest of the time the clock is running while they’re in the huddle and what not… But in hockey they play to entire 60 minutes hard and fast! And by fast I mean a man can move a lot faster on skates then a man on foot which means the hits are harder! And by hard I mean ice harder than dirt.. or a padded.. indoor field.
DF is even funnier than I think I am. That’s going some!
I used to walk the three blocks from school to the Rexall in Muleshoe, Texas to eat lunch at least once a week. Best grilled sandwiches in town and all drinks were free refills, not just the coffee. Most of my lunches cost nearly a half dollar. School lunches were 35 cents. I thought the upgrade was well worth the price. Sandwich, chips, drink and free refills: forty-nine cents. Pickles too! No tax on prepared foods back then, either!

Stan must be thinking… Losing a hockey game is better then losing your head on “Market Day”
