    This shows it in color.On my morning walk, 10/2/11, I was passed by this Monarch Butterfly, who landed on a bush ahead of me. It was around 50℉ and sunny and it just opened its wings, sunning itself, waiting for me to snap this photo (was shooting fall colors during my walk):I was surprised to still see it this far north (MN) because they migrate to Mexico each year. Somehow they know where to go even though they aren’t the generation that migrated north the prior spring.
