Gotta move somewhere that has points of interest less than 200 miles or so apart. Check the range on an F-150 Lightening and do a re-write. Could do a sad song about the long recharge time between 200-300 miles trips though.
After more Googling than it was worth, I found there is a singer named Mickey Newbury who has done some songs about railroads. That makes more sense than a British rail line that was electrified in recent years.
EVs are not climate-friendly. The rare earth metals needed for the batteries will scar the planet more the anything we’ve seen in a while. Not good. Please just make the combustion engines more efficient, which they are doing now.
I don’t understand the Republican hatred of EVs. They are made in the United States by Americans, and run off electricity generated in the United States by American companies. Heck, many EVs come from far, far right Elon Musk. What more do you want?
We’re “conservatives”, and EV is preached by the “liberals” as the savior of all things Earth. If they like it so much, it must be something we have to hate! (I, personally, dislike them because I’m a gear-head, and the rumble of the ICE is ALLLLLL! Frankly, the last “Good” automobile was manufactured in 1970, lol.)

Insurance companies are starting to say they will NOT cover the batteries in EV cars. This could be the death blow we’ve been hoping for.
