A woman who will pick up a strange guy’s underwear off the street might be dangerous

They weren’t dropped, that’s just how you wring the water out when the spin cycle craps out. Never take your clothes to a cut-rate launromat. Can’t even afford a “d”.

Those briefs could come in handy someday.

And they always recognize you at the worst possible time.

So, “Suds”, did you get enough laundry money from returning bottles?

Is this one of Lennie’s attempts at picking up women? She picks up his briefs and he picks her up for lunch perhaps?

Did you sign a contract agreeing to a certain number of strips for a period of time? Or did you (do you) get paid per strip that is published? And are you paid less when you are starting out than now when you are well known and famous?
