I don’t think that is what Dad wanted to hear when he asked how you were. Good thing that for all those complaining, there are so many more that like what you do.
On the contrary, Sir: I find Lennie’s ‘The Big Picture” to be CONSISTENTLY one of the most original, imaginative, funny, philosophical and relatable comics in the market today.
A lot of people haven’t heard “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. Either that or they are just miserable people who want every one else to feel just as bad. There are a lot of trolls out there and with the internet they don’t have to come out of their cave (or from under their bridge) to be nasty. ♥️
Dear Lennie, they’re wrong. And jackasses to boot: efforts to be amusing will always strike some people as lame or offensive, but it takes a special kind of rancid self-esteem to think that it’s OK to “share” such opinions—with anybody, not just with the creator of the amusement.
If it gives you any comfort, I myself have found your strip endearing and droll and highly original, and I regret only that I came upon it so recently. But reruns are making up for my poor timing.

Look at it this way – fodder for the strip. Vent away.

The best part about this bully pulpit is when Phil, Grant, Angie, Liz and the Reverend get called out again two decades later.
