Interesting. I never saw the connection because this strip is much more complex. Besides Jon is not a musician AND he has a steady girlfriend. I suppose someone would say the strip “Calvin” is a rip off of Dennis the Menace…(Dennis on steroids).
I wonder who really wrote that letter. I noticed that “Erin” and “Odie” each have four letters, and two match. It could be an alias….

When Get Fuzzy came out, I thought of it as an updated and edgier Garfield
