Second get a big thick towel and swaddle the kitty tight only leaving its head exposed.
Then hold the kitty in one arm wrapped in the towel pinch on both sides of the mouth and use a springe squirt the meds into the back of the cats mouth repeat as needed.
My cat spent years watching me give my dog his heart medicine 2x daily. They both got treats afterwards too. So when she eventually needed medicine she just sat there while I popped the pill in and rubbed her neck, no muss, no fuss before waiting expectantly for her treat. I tried a pill popper once, just out of curiosity. She allowed that too, but honestly it was just easier without.
I found that coating the pills with butter, opening the cats mouth with gentle pressure on the sides of the jaw at the joint, shooting the pill down the throat and stroking the chin front to back works over 90% of the time. Grinding the pill and putting it in favourite gushy food works as well, but if you have more than one cat then you must make arrangements to separate the medicated cat from the rest to make sure the right cats gets medicated. Make sure you have combed and brushed the cat before medicating to reduce the possibility of vomiting up the pill. Not that it will help.

It is easy if you know what to do .
First off no pills liquid meds only if possible /
Second get a big thick towel and swaddle the kitty tight only leaving its head exposed.
Then hold the kitty in one arm wrapped in the towel pinch on both sides of the mouth and use a springe squirt the meds into the back of the cats mouth repeat as needed.
