Wouldn't it be cool if suddenly everything we said was in balloons? You know, like in comic strips. No! It'd be all freaky lookin'! Once you thought about 'em being there, you'd go crazy trying not to see them. Hmmm.
Mort Walker wrote (and illustrated of course) a book called ‘The Lexicon of Comicana’ wherein he describes and names all kinds of word balloons, bubbles, boxes and such. There’s probably a name for the zigzaggy bubbles, but I’m too lazy to look it up right now.
Trying to think how thought balloons in real time would be an advantage……. thinking………. you can’t see my thought balloon. Its a thought. Not a talk. ……… still thinking……. Well the boss could see what you’re talking about in whispers with your co-worker. That would be an advantage. …… For him. . Nope. Rather just read minds. Less messy than all those balloons.

I love Toby’s face in the 2nd Panel.
I like the speech bubbles where a person shouts and the speech bubble is all zig zag.
If you know what I mean
