Midterm exams, huh? Yup. Let ol' granddad help out. Um... Who discovered America? Paleolithic Siberian nomads. What? No! They just... Y'know... Got here. Who discovered them? On which coast? What? Well, it was Vikings in the East and the Chinese on the west. No! No! Polynesians on the West? No! Christopher Columbus! He discovered America! Yeah, but... You get to change the future! Quit changing my past!

Sorry, Grandpa. I bet you still think Venus has its day the same length as its year, right?

David, Columbus (or more correctly Colombo) didn’t land in the Gulf. He landed on San Salvador in the Bahamas, in the Atlantic.

Love Toby’s smile. As to the history …. stupid *&!%# revisionist history! Next thing will be the Martians colonized Earth when they lost their water.

Actually Chris C. did get to the continental coast, just not on his first voyage. He got to South America on his third trip and to Central America on the fourth one. He never got to the continental USA, though, but that is not very relevant because America is also the name of the whole landmass. (Check your dictionaries and encyclopedias if you don’t believe me.) We also call the landmass “The Americas” to avoid the confusion with the name of the country.

A whole lot of people “discovered” America. Columbus was the first to hold a press conference about it :D :D :D

I swear… some of the cartoons I write are just to see what you guys will do for the comment section. No kidding. I think of you guys as I write. It’s wonderful. Yay, In’ernet! Next, I gotta think of something about ‘gun control’. That ought to be some fun here.
