I don't think the president has any say over what fire sirens sound like. Really. Really. He's awfully important. Isn't it more likely you don't know what you're talking about?
He’s right, the Pres wants the Gov. to control everything so why not the sirens. Oh heck, this will probably give the Pres. ideas to create a Siren Czar.
This one is loosely based on something my oldest son said when he was very young. He made some comment about the color of fire trucks and why the president chose it. It then occurred to me that, as a child, my son couldn’t imagine what the president’s job really was, but merely ascribed to him the most important duties he could conceive. Having said that, I’ll quote The Big Bang Theory’s characters in reference to comments I assume will be made here for the rest of the day- “Oh, here we go…”
Four firefighters in Pittsburgh Pa filed suit in court alleging that the sirens on their firetrucks caused their hearing loss. They claim that the sirens are too loud and the truck manufacturers did not insulate the cabs sufficiently to protect those inside.
You guys up there with the hearing losses: they used to say anything above 90 dB loss was untreatable, now they can do up to 110, 120dB. It’s worth the time it takes to get used to wearing hearing aids; I’ve had them since my mid-20’s, which were awhile ago.

My dad lost a lot of his hearing because he sold guitars, keyboards, etc and amplifiers for years. I don’t think he can file suit anywhere about it.

Are you channeling my ears, dzw3030? Never mind, you couldn’t hear it even if you were, but then again, neither can I!

The Army didn’t supply us with hearing protection.
