Let’s see… The first turning-complete computer was the Z3, built in 1941. If we define “growing up” to be from age 0 through 18, then Grampa Bucket would have been born in or before 1923. That would make him at least 90 years old.
That’s not counting the analytical engine, which was designed in 1837 but never built.
