For Sale How's it look? Great! We'll lose the Halloween decorations, but they'll buy us a few extra days to play in the backyard and tell the house sells.
“…Until THEIR house sells” That’s what’s on my original art. My editor didn’t ask before removing the ‘ir’ and changing it from the neighbors house, which is for sale, and the Buckets’ house, which isn’t.
I understand what editors do, but editing artwork is different than editing copy. Did he use whiteout or something? Or is he an artist who could even re-do how the house looked, for instance?
Happy to do it. And, ChessPirate, they have a digital file, so it’s all pixels that get fiddled with. She wouldn’t fiddle with the house illustrations, so far as I know. Unless there was some reason it messed up the cartoon somehow. For instance- there was no change to the goof on Toby’s shirt the other day.

Also, trying to buy extra time to play in the neighbors’ yard is funny. Trying to get more in your own yard isn’t, particularly.

Agreed Toby.

I think it’s great to see the artists commenting on their own work. “The Buckets” is one of my favorite strips.
