Any time you see a link to some ten most amazing article or fifteen things you must see photo set, it's just a website slapping together provocative stuff to get lots and lots of site visitors. So... I knew of them by being on Facebook, but it took some time for someone to tell me what they’re called. They’re not going to tell you themselves, of course.

I know “click farms” as those Chinese, Indian, etc. companies that Facebook and other social media companies hire to click Like buttons. I think the word Larry is looking for is “click bait”. Veritasium did a great video about click farm fraud on Facebook.

Just thought of another possibility. Larry might be thinking of “content farms”: publishing houses that spew aggregated content.

Sooooo….. if I understand the concept……If I had a website link on every comic on gocomics that said “click here to vote for the hottest firefighters” and “click here to vote for the hardest working police dogs” and there were ads on those sites………… ………….. … I would make money?. .If that is how it works….. I do I sign up? Everyone needs a little extra money. Even me. And everyone likes firefighters and dogs. :)
