I can sing the first half of nearly everything on the radio, as long as someone prompts me with the first line. My dad can read music, so it can't be that hard.

A high school friend’s dad played banjo. I was always mystified how anyone could read the sheet music for that instrument. In many cases, there were no note heads, just joined vertical stems on the staff.
