Skyrim? No. Galaga? Nope. Halo? No. Asteroids? No. Call of Duty? No. Frogger? Well, you don't know my favorite video games, and I don't know any of yours. I don't even know where to put the quarter in your games.
I am 57 & love Skyrim! It is simply awesome, but you have to play on PC in the cloud. I do not think that the consoles can replicate the full experience of the game like PC. When you can hotkey your keyboard, it makes a huge difference. Give me a break on dad’s comment on the quarter. We play just like any other person. Why do people say we are tech-stupid? Heck, we developed all of this from the original pong! Remember, Atari!
My hubby and kids have bridged the gap thanks to Namco games that can be played on the Xbox. My kids love games like Pacman and Galaga and hubby is a kid at heart so he plays the newer games. Me? I stick to old school, I’m terrible at the new stuff.
Kid got no taste in games. Also personal – current played – favorite is Wasteland 2. And if he talks about where to put coins he hasn’t kept up with anything.
I’m 48.Galaga, Tempest, Defender and Donkey Kong all rule. Get a stand up video game console and put a new board in it with 400 of your favorite arcade games… I’m a Skyrim junkie as well.

His games don’t use quarters, they use your electrical bills.

Donkey Kong. Spent a fortune on that game! One quarter at a time.

You can’t go wrong with “Bane of the Cosmic Forge.”
