Funny how the amount of taxes are overlooked and yet some states actually require the ‘lucky’ winner to advertise their win before the pot can be collected.

People who wish for fortunes could just as easily wish for fortunes for everyone, but somehow they never do.
(I always wish for everyone to be ecstatically happy all the time, but so far it hasn’t happened.)

I keep forgetting about that American tax law on winnings. But then – there is the Canada – US Tax Treaty Convention. It covers what we Canadians consider winfall winnings in the USA. Toby had a good thought in the middle panel.
