I’ve worked at a high school for 23 years, and you would not BELIEVE the clothes kids leave behind…most of it’s really nice stuff, too! At the end of the school year we tell them all they have one last chance to check what’s in the lost & found because then it all gets donated. And if something ends up going home with the wrong kid, oh well…that’s their problem for not taking responsibility for their own possessions. Sadly, a lot of them don’t really care…they didn’t pay for it, so it has no perceived value. Parents will just buy them another one…
