Don’t bring up the past when you’re young enough to still be grounded. Save it for when you have kids.

Decades later I found out some of the things my kids did when they were young. Good timing…..

So did you do this time that you have a guilty conscious about?

That how it should be: After you’ve done your time and the verdict is fulfilled we forget about it and you may move on.

This one came from real life. There are a lot of things from my childhood I recall vividly that my parents don’t. I realized the perfectly obvious reason- I’m NOT actually the center of the world. Of course my parents didn’t remember the grounding I got for lousy grades in Algebra. It was so I would learn Algebra, not so that they would learn how to punish their kids for lousy grades. It’s weird that we don’t realize things like this earlier than 50 years old, but at least it gave me something to cartoon about.
