I think of traffic patterns more in terms of flocks of birds

I work nights and there isn’t much traffic when I go to work, so why do the few other cars all form a pack and stay together?

If I can get around them, I slow down and let them get well ahead of me

It seems the only place to look for answers is from readers here in the comics… and my question is "What would the population of buffalo, that used to be in huge herds here in this country a hundred or so years ago, be if at one time people weren’t on this planet, killing them?? "

Back in the old days when i lived in the Big City and rode the rails every day, I would occasionally start lowing if the train was overcrowded. Strangely, my fellow riders never seemed to see the humor in it.

Cars pack together because the ones in a hurry have to slow down to work their way past others cars. While that is happening, more people in a hurry have to slow down to get past those cars, etc. Once they are past, they zoom up to the next cluster.

The WEF recently said that people will not be allowed to own automobiles. That should free up a lot of space on the freeways. Personally, I think we should all do what it takes to destroy the WEF.

Those aerial shots of traffic have a lot of similarity with herds of wildebeests in Africa

Daily migration? That would explain a few things.

Humans do this a lot. Ever notice how we all show up at 7-11 at the same time? And even when the grocery store isn’t busy, we all show up to check out at the same time. Has this ever been studied?
