Growing up I had two choices about obeying instructions to perform a chore. I could do it, or I could do it with a sore back end. Most of the time I just did as I was told, grumbling and kvetching quietly to myself, but there were a few times I chose the more painful option.

She probably won’t go in his room due to the health risk. That’s why she sent an emissary.

This one was inspired by all the movie scenarios where the bad guy says all the bad things he’s about to do, then looks at the good guy and says, “Unless you give me what I want, all those things will be YOUR fault.”

… And the good guys NEVER says, “Bull! You’re about to blow up a thing and hurt people and I’m tied to this chair. How is this MY fault?”

Not right putting one child in the middle of your dealing with the other kid.
