Message for today: be like a sweet child and say “Thank You” to anyone who does anything good for you.

I’m with the postman. The great pig flyover is the highlight of the parade each year.

It’s been four decades since I lived somewhere that had ‘to the house’ delivery. It’s boxes out on the street now.

We are fortunate to have a very good letter carrier. I can’t say that’s always been the case.

With sufficient acceleration pigs fly just fine. Uhm, so I’ve been told. I myself of course would have no personal experience along that line…

Big Ol’ “Thank You” to our own mail delivery superdude, Mr. Fred Rogers (no kidding. That’s his name.). He’s an outstanding mailman (postal carrier? I don’t know what the current name is) and should be recognized all over the country. Now, I guess, he kinda is…

I LOVE our postal system. Absolutely love it. Can’t stand the guy at the top trying to sabotage it, though.

I thank my postal carrier every day when I am home. And the trash and recycle collectors on Monday!

Over 20 years ago I was supposed to leave to go visit my mother. I had had my mail be stopped for the month we would be gone. On the day before we were to leave the air conditioner in my car stopped working. There was no way I could drive from NC to Arizona in June without it. $800 and a new compressor later we were ready to go, all be it 2 days late. At 9am my doorbell rings. It was my mailman checking on us since my car was still in the driveway with all the doors open he was afraid something had happened. By that point Lorenzo had been our postman for over 10 years. He was the sweetest guy. I still miss him. After he retired they never really replaced him. The just keep throwing whoever and the do Lorenzo’s route as well as their own.

Is that before or after the parade for cartoonists?
