His Dad remembers Pong? That is one of the oldest video games, i remember hearing of it being played on early digital computers on the 50s and 60s. We had a console that we hooked up to the TV to play Pong in the 70s. Either his dad started a family pretty late in life, or he’s confusing his father and his grandfather.
Pong – the last video game that was remotely interesting (and that “remotely” with the aid a bunch of good weed………)
On the other hand, I play checkers with my oldest 2 grandkids at every opportunity.
When I started teaching #1, his Nona kept saying “You have to let him win sometimes!” To which I replied “Then how will he learn?” Took about a week before he was beating me half the time; don’t who was prouder, him or I.

Enough time has passed that “Grandpa” should have been used. Sorry about making people feel old.
