I would not have wanted to be in a dodgeball game opposite Lee Smith either. He is a Baseball Hall of Famer, a closer who at one time held the ML record for career saves. He threw his fastball in the high 90’s (mph) and did not always know, or seemingly care, where it was going to end up.

As a kid who wore glasses, dodge ball always held an extra risk other kids did not have.

I wasn’t good at a lot of sports, but I liked dodgeball and did pretty well at it.
