Is it the same book? It should be if it isn’t.

My favorite book would probably be Battlefield: Earth by L. Ron Hubbard. I have read it at least 6 times and given it away at least that. 1000+ pages in paperback. It is long enough that you will come to hate certain characters! Fellow science fiction reader watched the movie and said they butchered the book. My favorite author would be Clive Cussler.

The only novel I’ve read more than once was “Catcher in the Rye!”

I’ve read many books multiple times, but my favorites are the Tower Series from Steven King and The Outlander Series from Diana Gabaldon. I reread the entire Outlander series whenever a new book comes out.

The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain. It pokes fun at travel books. I used to take a copy every time I went out of the country…

That’s not true of all parents. Maybe older adults with short attention spans.

As a child it was LION by Rene Penne du Bois. I still have my copy and read it at least 4 times a year. The pictures are incredible.

I have read a few books more than once, but there are so many good books that I can read for years without repeating and enjoy every one. On the other hand, if I can’t finish a book, I never read it again, and avoid that author.

Parents? Aren’t those grandparents? (At least Grandpa Bucket is, I know for sure)

One of the most reread books I have is Carl Amery’s „An der Feuern der Leyermark“ (Alternate timestream novel, most interesting for history buffs and avid speakers of German an its dialects. After the US Civil War a group of assorted scoundrels with the most advanced rifles were hired by some monkeywrenching subordinate in a bavarian procurement departement for the looming war between the different hegemonic German states namely Prussia and Austria.)

If I start a book and can’t get through it, it goes into the box of donations for my local thrift store. I have several books I’ve read more than once, but the older I get, the less I try to reread any books. I’m 65, and life’s too short. So many books, so little time.
