Interesting. I was walking down the street with my little dog and a bitter young man in a wheel chair almost ran us down. REALLY!! He was motoring down the street, quietly at a really fast speed. He laughed out loud. It was definitely intentional. My compassion somehow got tamped down by my outrage.

true enough, being disabled does not certify one as being nice , polite, and charitable …. in fact, I would be not be surprised that , due to their unfortunate lot in life, more of these folks are not bitter and resentful at people who probably take their normality for granted… not much of a point for a cartoon, true or not

Derf is at his best when he points out the absurdity of certain folks in politics

So should insurance companies be allowed to cancel the coverage of people in wheelchairs when they become too expensive so that they die? They do that.

Lewreader, you are confusing being fault as the speeder with being without life saving services as in the disabled person. The Insurance company took his money when he was well and gave nothing back. He becomes disabled, the company should fulfill their contract. And the company in question made HUGE profits.

Cabrobst. When you rack up a few speeding tickets and a Reckless the insurance company puts you in a risk pool at a higher cost to protect other customers. Add on a DUI and a hit and run and they drop you because the pool can no longer afford you.

The same company issues health insurance..
