Well Joe-Allen just you and me today. When I was a kid
I liked to tinker with door locks and did pretty good. I might havegone into other crafts but I was a “girl” Girl Scouts wanted me to cook and sew. Never very good at either. But that’s the way it was.!
I think that, at this rate, Marcus might not only earn badges but electrician’s and plumber’s licenses!
My sister was upset in the 1960s that she was the only kid in the family who couldn’t be a Cub Scout, so the den mother let her and her best friend be “Cublets.” Real Boy Scouts didn’t put up with that nonsense, so they left her out completely. And she didn’t like Girl Scouts because they were not permitted to sit on the ground during campouts (really!) … they crafted “Sit-Upons” for that, and the camping was pretty much just pretend, although at least it was outdoors. Needless to say, she ended up learning chainsaws, motorcycles and factory work elsewhere. Meanwhile, in Scouts I never succeeded in learning knots!
Boys and girls never did fit their stereotyped talents and roles very reliably.

Is it just me or have these been in black and white for the last few days? As opposed to in color…

Clogged plumbing drains the color out of everything!
