To me, she looks like a country girl who went ambitious but found out Dusty ain’t all he cracks himself up to be, and ended up jaded.
That’s just a guess. I’m actually looking forward to finding out. All I’m hoping is that she turns out to be one of the characters who sometimes appears other than stock-still and deadpan. Today, Dusty’s got a couple of really great expressions - he hardly needs his dialogue at all; the situation is as clear as the eyes and mouth on his face.

anthrax is a bacteria.
you are more likely to get exposed to that on a farm, than be snail mail.
