Hmm, looks like I might have to order the Elderberries book while I can.
Barkeater Lake? TOBY? Now Elderberries? It’s a pretty good strip, but quality has little to do with the success of a comic strip nowadays (consider “Citizen Dog”, “Big Top”, and “Bo Nanas” versus some of the undead strips taking up newspaper space decades past their prime).
I was just reviewing the Elderberries archives. I had totally forgotten that Corey had taken the strip over from the late Phil Frank in 2008. But Corey has been a good steward of what has always been a funny and gentle strip, and I hope Elderpark and Elderberries continues on.
Has Corey Pandolph finally succumbed to the pressures of doing several hundred comic strips a day? I hope not, but I’ll sure be reading carefully every day to find out!

If the strip is ending I’ll be very sad. I’ve really grown attached to the characters.

I always hoped when Frank and Phil were still doing the strip, Nigel Shiftright would join the crowd at Elderberry Park.
