I had 3 separate 401ks while I was working, and felt like I was OK when I got too old to work. Then the Government changed the rules governing investments, and my 401k, all crashed. I now live on Social Security exclusively, if you can call it living.f
AARP sold the senior population down the river with that deal. Once AARP realized they had a data base of millions to sell insurance to, they threw the seniors under the bus instead of supporting them. All in the name of corporate greed. They can keep their discounts on hotels and cruises. I’ll have nothing to do with them. I only wish other seniors would do the same.
My parents generation thought Social Security would be all they’d need in retirement and never bothered to generate any other sort of financial nest egg. They managed to get by but could never afford to fulfill their retirement dreams.

You can’t trust pensions anymore. Teamsters Central States is going bankrupt in 2025.
