    I read in Alaska the fine can be $10,000 for texting while driving, I wonder if that is still true. No, I don’t live there.

    Ironically, the problem with the assigned punishment is that the texter can copy and paste the text to get the job done PDQ, in about 7.5 copy-and-paste repetitions. With blackboard and chalk, copy and paste is out of the question, so the punishment would have to be completed, laboriously, the way it was meant to be, without the advantage of copy and paste.
