You might not have much grass left if you do. Sheep’s mouths and teeth are such that they cut the grass off barely above the ground. Which is why other animals can’t use the fields sheep have grazed. They can’t get any grass in their mouth, and it can take more time for the grass to grown back to grazing height.
It’d be easier to cut if he didn’t let it get that long. I hate cutting grass, too, but I learned a long time ago that I was much better off to do it every week than to let it go for 10-14 days and try to mow it long, with it clogging the mower every ten steps.
