I’d rather a sarcastic cat to be honest. Two peas in a pod

My cats always greet me excitedly in their kitty cat ways. They stand up, hold their tails high, whiskers forward, ears perked, slow eye blinks, luxurious stretches and yawns, roll around on their backs. After I settle in, I get lap time and purrs. You just have to know how to read their cat body language. Famous line from Old Deuteronomy’s song in “Cats”: “A cat is not a dog.”

In a old Peanuts strip Snoopy is seen thinking that “cats are the crab grass in the lawn of life,”

Our current cat, when he was a kitten, would get separation anxiety when we would leave the house. Finally he realized, “They’ll always be back.”

It’s really saying, now don’t you wish you had a dog instead of an indifferent cat.
