Is there an LED version that will put out the same amount of lumens as the original 50,000 incandescent?

I thought Commissioner Gordon got the city to pay for those.

Factoid: GE made some promotional 50,000 watt light bulbs back in the late 50’s or early 60’s. The glass bulb was about 2.5 to 3 feet in diameter and the wire for the filament coils was perhaps 1/2 inch in diameter. One of these was part of a lecture/exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. There probably is more information (and photos) on the web.

When new grocery stores would have their grand opening they would use those huge spot lights.

This doesn’t seem right… shouldn’t the commissioner be the one buying a replacement bat bulb???

It’s dark in the Bat-cave, so he needs that powerful lamp when he tries to find his way to the bat-room.

Now, do you need any batteries for that?

Not very energy efficient, that’s probably why it’s on sale.

    I’m glad it doesn’t cost $26.00.

    Random musings:

You’d think that even if Batman reimburses Gotham City for maintenance of the Bat-signal, someone from the city would take care of the details. Surely Batman has more important things to do.

I hope he’s going to pay cash. Last time he had an embarrassing moment when he tried to pay using Bruce Wayne’s credit card.

Did he bring the Bat-truck? Might be a challenge to fit something that size into the Batmobile.

Don’t ask why this is being charged to Bruce Wayne, if you know what’s good for you. Better yet, charge this to Tony Stark.

You do realise, it is Commissioner Gordon with the bat signal. Why would Batman need to signal himself?
