There was a mix up at HR for me and I received the instructions for giving the ten year award……to myself! “Look at the employee in the eye, smile, address him/her by name and announce the award to their group.”
met a guy on the streets of Atlanta one night many years ago selling genuine rolex watches…i pointed out that his were spelled rolix and killed his sales pitch
I tripped and damaged my knee. So they tried to fire me so I couldn’t get workman’s compensation. I got it and sued them for losing my job. Great people!
It will mark the beginning of the end of time as you know it! Soon you’ll have no where to be but in your car ahead of drivers that are running late to work or coming home. You will always drive slow in the fast lane.
I, at least, got paid for my unused vacation hours. Since I wasn’t approved for vacation when I wanted (being “vital” to my projects – HA HA HA) I had almost 1/3 year of salary coming. Once those projects got completed and no new ones coming along, I wasn’t “needed” anymore. And companies want any kind of loyalty anymore?

My company gave me a cheap watch to celebrate year #20. Then laid me off at year #21.

More disheartening, there is no return, much less a receipt to get even a little cash back. Not that it would be enough for a kiosk coffee.
