Crap! Al is sounding a little melancholy… yesterday’s date with the insane broad must not have turned out as he was hoping.
I think Al is saying that, metaphorically, his 12-ounce glass has 6 ounces of water in it. Pretty clear when you think about it.
Al is a philosophical guy. He is lucky he doesn’t have a woman in his life, he would either be better off or worse, depending on when in my day I read the cartoon.
