To me, brought back when I lived in Auburn, Ca. and my father-in-law lived in Carson City, NV. We’d come back home on Sunday night and when we got to the Bell Road exit in Auburn, we’d turn off and just about be home. Then my company transferred me to Santa Rosa, Ca., clear over on the coast. Now, coming back from Nevada, we’d get to Bell and I’d know I had several hours of Sunday night freeway traffic still in front of me before I could once again be home. I always thought of those signs like the mice have here – if I still lived there, I’d be home now.
Why couldn’t it have been the other way around? Yeah, I still whine about that these thirty years later.
