He stated the prices were kept high so the insurance companies would pay for them and that if the prices were lowered, the insurance companies would stop covering them; so it was to a patient’s best interest to keep the prices high.
A drug company in Quebec created a phoney shortage of medication I take last November to triple the price the Province pays. They are going to do it again this November as they just inked a deal with the State of Florida to provide said drug. I informed my pharmacist and he is increasing the stock to try and avoid a shortage. He is also allowing me to circumvent provincial maximums so I have my own stock.
