We can read comics with cursing, cussing and swearing, but we aren’t allowed to comment the same way. And the “learning” bots aren’t! I had a comment stopped from being posted because of one word that is not a swear word but because it is spelled similar to a derogatory name. The word? S-P-I-C-E

and all this time we thought Pierpoint just looked at the pictures…!

There is a radio station i listen to and they bleep out the word SH** but they can sing a song about making love in a bed of a truck. What am I missing here? And I have been reading comics for over 65 years and I turned out just fine!!!!

I for one don’t care for cursing on TV or radio and am glad it’s not in comics!

I hav had the experience of watching some television with closed captioning. The swearing is not censored in the captions for some shows, but the audio is.

Newspapers have all moved on line. Used to be you could find a newspaper stand outside most breakfast places, they’re gone. And so is the joy of the Sunday comics, all in color and spread on the floor.
