One of my earliest memories is of my father setting off a string of firecrackers in the driveway when I was 3-ish, circa 1966. Specifically I recall the little blue cross pattern on the firecrackers. They still make those. Ah, of such are father-son moments made!

I like to use the fact that traditionally Chinese shoot fireworks during their New Year to drive away evil spirits and after 2020 we need all the help we can get.

There was a fireworks display at a Dead concert I attended in 8/73. I still remember them, and for some reason, that display has never been matched.
