Reminds me of a story I read in (I think) the Reader’s Digest. Woman was being examined by two doctors who were young enough to be her sons, yet they insisted on calling her by her first name even though they hardly knew her. When she started calling them by their first names, one of them protested, “We worked hard to get these M.D.‘s; we wish you’d use them when addressing us.” “And I worked just as hard to get my M.R.S.,” she replied, “I wish you would use it when addressing me!” I admire that woman.
