as an irish-american i find new adventures one of the funniest of “new” comic strips-love goofing on the brits-as a 67 year old geezer i say-hey what’s wrong with mary worth? i thought her home spun meddling was hilarious

As an aside, despite what he says, I’ll bet Oscar has.

steverino: I’ll bet there’s very little that Oscar has not.

juke: Oscar’s been around for a while. Even I don’t know who will turn up next.

lovelymajorhoople: The Mary Worth storyline was from when a paper in Shreveport, LA, made a big deal about dropping Mary Worth. I chose to have a funeral for her.

Everyone: Waiting for word. They’ve set a date of August 4th for Sheriff’s Sale of our house, but two days before they did that the bank made independent overtones (not through their lawyers) about coming to an arrangement. We filed all the paperwork and are waiting to hear back from our lawyer.

We’re still about $15,000.00 away from being able to settle all this without compromise on their part. Thank you again to everyone who donated; if we escape this I have you all to thank.

I hope to take some time this weekend and build up an additional backlog of strips in case the worst happens. That way you’ll at least be able to get another month or so out of her before the end.

Great strip today - I especially love Oscar’s offended face, last panel. ;) If only my cell phone would do that…

Pab, sending all good thoughts to you.

Gweedo: My apologies. I didn’t actively post an address for snail mail donations simply because I don’t usually actively solicit donations. It’s only with the recent events that anyone has actually donated anything.

For future reference: snail mail correspondence (it doesn’t have to have a donation in it, just for anyone who wants to drop a line) can be sent to 2,000 Monkeys With Typewriters, PO Box 543, Somers Point NJ 08244.

Since I un-fortune-notly, can’t contribute in any other way, I’ll do some ether work on your behalf later. As to your plight—having once lived in the Garden State, we are not amused….

Pab, I’m so glad there’s hope, and that people who love your work have come through for you! I’m about to balance my checkbook (yrrrch) and see if I can manage another donation.

Best wishes to you and yours.

jukeofurl: Just your best thoughts are enough. I appreciate all the support, in all forms, that I’ve gotten from my audience over the past couple of weeks.
