That was one of the first songs I ever taught myself to play on guitar when I was a kid.. I actually still have that record album. I haven’t parted with any of them cuz they have stuff written by friends in the covers and stuff…good memories.
Manito, all those albums are still playable no matter how much they look scratched. Most vinyl scratches are only on the surface, the sound is derived from the bottom of the groove.
Wash them in warm soapy water, like you would a plate. It gets rid of the junk stuck in the grooves. (In my case, beer residue, greasy finger prints, beer, resin, beer…) Almost all the pops and crackles will go away. Seriously, you’ll be amazed. I am so glad I didn’t give away my vinyl records when CD’s came out…
