Aside from the fact that landers/rovers are sterilized before being loaded on to rockets? NASA is careful that way, don’t want to kill off the Martians with an accidental sneeze before they have a chance to destroy New Jersey and thus significantly improve the cultural value of the Earth.

Considering the amount of fecal matter now surrounding the Earth, not surprising that some incoming objects contain bacteria.
