When Edward’s done, Queenie, I’d like to check out “Djibouti.”

I loved “L is for Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllandysiliogogogoch”. The ‘f’ is pronounced like a ‘v’.

Make the tongue form the “L” shape but let the air escape from the sides without vocalising.

Got this Polish restaurant down here. It used to have a copy on its window of a good review commenting that Polish food is easy to handle – all you have to do is remember that “pstrang” is pronounced like “honk”: [stronk!]..We will never have a world language…

I met Sue Grafton once, she is a cool lady. She said she was inspired for her titles by Edward Gorey’s “Gashlycrumb Tinies.” An example: “B is for Basil, devoured by bears.” If you haven’t experienced Gorey, you should.
