If I paid any attention to the whole Benghazi rant thing, I’d be able to make a joke about it. As it is, I don’t have Faux News Channel, so I haven’t heard anything about it.
Short version: they tried to keep a US embassy open in Benghazi, Libya with local security after everyone else got out of dodge and our ambassador there was begging for more security, a several hours long battle killed the ambassador and 3 others with no help being sent, that attack was blamed on a lame internet video that no one had ever heard of inciting members of the Religion of Peace into an atypical murderous frenzy, and you’re racist for thinking that this administration is incompetent and/or sociopathic. Attempts to figure out exactly how this cluster happened were met with Hillary screaming “What difference does it make?” among other stonewalling.
Why our Nobel Peace Prize winning President intervened in Libya’s civil war in favor of Muslim Brotherhood psychos over the psycho dictator who was mostly cooperative after 9/11 is another issue.
That video “no one had ever heard of” was causing rioting and extremist outrage throughout the region BEFORE Benghazi. That’s not something I read afterward. That’s something I saw happening in current events leading up to the Benghazi incident. I could have told Congress the violence was due to the video, it was so obvious.

The CIA’s main operation in Benghazi was to disarm the Islamist militias. Benghazi had already become extremely unsafe before the September 11, 2012 attack.- On June 12, 2012 a British diplomatic convoy carrying the British Ambassador to Libya was attacked — 2 British security officers were injured.- On June 18, 2012, the Tunisian consulate in Benghazi was stormed by individuals affiliated with Ansar Al-Sharia Libya, allegedly because of “attacks by Tunisian artists against Islam.” (“Benghazi: The Definitive Report” by Brandon Webb)The situation in Benghazi had been deteriorating for months.Why Ambassador Chris Steven’s chose to go there on September 11, 2012, only he knew.
