A poetic cameo of Elizabeth and Victoria in The Birds …
Out here, it’s August. Yesterday was the first day that really felt like August with the furnace heat.
…a day in February, even in a leap year!!
The heat wave crest has passed and it is finally way down into the lower 90s.
I like Victoria’s come back.
A presented-by-Alfred-Hitchcock anthology of kids’ mystery stories (by Robert Arthur?) was the first place I ever came across that “What is so rare as a day in June” line.
And that’s why hats with feathers went out of fashion.
